...Not all Heroes wear their costumes, and our Doug certainly has no time for messing around with such childish crap. He adores weapons and never leaves the shelter without taking all of his guns with him [don’t even bother to ask him where he hides all his stuff]. In addition, he can’t live without Cuban cigars, made of the best tobacco leaves [by the way, smoking kills] and smokes like a chimney, irritating everyone around him. So the fact that there is not so much “anyone around him” left alive on this planet, doesn’t seem so depressing for him.
Nevertheless, the best side of this nature is his talent to kill, or even better to say, to make COMPLETELY DEAD all zombies who populated his wonderful post-apocalyptic world. Where did they come from, you may ask, these annoying, stinking, dumb, dirty ... *GHM* ... I let myself get sidetracked... So, where was I? Oh, yeah, Doug has to go through a complex way to get to the to the truth about what the hack is going on, blah-blah-blah, and as usual, to save this rotten world! Or maybe not, I haven’t decided yet, so time will tell…
Deadlock is a fast-paced brutal top-down 2D shooter in best traditions of DooM and Quake series. Metal soundtrack, fantastic visual effects, insane speeds, a lot of gore and crowds of zombies create a unique atmosphere, which sucks you into the game and won’t let you out for several hours.
Right now, we have completed core functionality of the game and working on maps and game modes. The game will contain survival campaign, cooperative survival, FFA, TDM, CTF, and more. We have implemented our own lighting engine, custom particle system, network engine and other tools that broaden our horizons to create an amazing game experience.
